I own a black dial BB36 and took a brief look at the Ranger at a local AD. IMHO the overall finishing and quality are better on BB36, while the movement and bracelet & clasp are def better on Ranger. I guess Tudor could keep Ranger's price the same as BB36 even with a better movement and clasp by not putting the same attention on the details. The new 39mm Tudor Ranger essentially has the same footprint as the Black Bay 58, which has been fairly universally praised (including by yours truly) for its fit. It’s compact and well-proportioned. The fixed steel bezel also makes it appear perhaps even a touch more compact, as the dial feels more compressed.
